The Astrocam is a converted webcam that I received free from Earthlink.  I have always wanted to take pictures of space with the telescope, but never had the money to do it.  Thanks to Earthlinks free webcam offer and about $10, I was able to make my first astronomy camera.

The camera is made from a company called Alaris.  Here are the spec:

The software that comes with the camera allows for the following:

Still captures up 1600 x 1200  -  24-bit

AVI captures up to 320 x 240  -  30 fps  -  24-bit
